You might be a mama to a little boy...

...if said child can spend hours in the boat while it's parked in the garage.  Imagining and 'catching' fish left and right, getting excited with each imaginary catch and requesting you once again "wook at Max Muskie, cause he a monster fish Mommy!"  It's like the best kind of playhouse...already paid for and enclosed for no escaping!

...if while you vacuum this child is running around like a mad man throwing footballs with suprising accuracy at the vaccum yelling "get back monster, you get back."

...if said child is begging to play tackle football and insists that "you will not hurt me Mama and if you do I will not cry."  Derrick is really good at tackling so Riley doesn't get hurt, I on the other hand have a protect your vital organs reaction and when he is coming at me like a bull I tend to freeze up and save myself resulting in tears.

...if everytime your child needs to go potty in public you breathe a sigh of relief over the fact that they do not have to touch anything, not the seat, not the handle, nothing, making it oh so much easier because only the adult needs to wash hands.

...if everything and anything turns into "ammo" like the butterflies that fly out of Elephun, the marbles to Hungry Hungry Hippos and even Little People.

...if after the childrens sermon on Sunday your child whispers in your ear during the prayer and says "I just have one question Mommy, when are we going fishing?"

...if when little neighborhood boys come around he protectively throws his arm around his little sis and throws off a look that screams "stay away boys, she's mine!"

...and you most certainly know that you are a mama to a little boy when he proudly says "look at my funny weiner," at bathtime.

He is such a big boy now...just makes me happy to watch him grow up and learn, be polite, be considerate, praise Jesus, show concern and love.
